Zambia Electronic Clearing House Limited (ZECHL) is a non-profit entity in the Zambian market, committed to delivering an efficient, reliable, and value-driven payments system. Established in 1999, ZECHL is a private company limited by shares, with shareholders including the Bank of Zambia and 18 Commercial Banks. Operating the National Financial Switch (NFS) and the Cheque Truncation System (CTS), ZECHL offers interbank clearing and switching services, creating secure payment processing and interconnectivity between multiple payment institutions. Services include card payments, electronic funds transfer, cheque image clearing, and industry net settlement reporting for shareholders. With a workforce of 35 employees and its headquarters in Lusaka, Zambia, ZECHL continues to play a pivotal role in the country's financial services and banking sector.
