Established in 1991, the organization initiated a community-based approach to HIV treatment research, resulting in the development of 20 FDA-approved medicines. ACRIA conducts comprehensive research programs, provides essential HIV healthcare education globally, particularly through the ACRIA Center on HIV & Aging, and acquired Love Heals: The Alison Gertz Foundation for AIDS Education in 2017, further bolstering its impact.
