AROSE focuses on fostering collaboration between these sectors through tailored, industry-led projects harnessing Australia's world-leading Remote Operations expertise. These projects are designed to yield high-end, niche solutions and technology for applications ranging from Earth to Space, with the potential to revolutionize industries and explore the cosmos. Founded in February 2020 by Russell Potapinski, former Head of Intelligent and Autonomous Systems at Woodside, and former astronaut Col. Pamela Melroy (now Deputy Administrator of NASA), AROSE is based in Perth with support from the Western Australian government through the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science, and Innovation. The latest investment, a grant received on 20 March 2023, came from the Australian Space Agency.
