Astrogenetix, Inc. was founded in 2008 by Astrotech Corporation with a focus on commercializing biotechnology products processed in microgravity. Leveraging expertise gained through NASA science experiments in space, Astrogenetix offers a unique turn-key platform for the pre-flight sample preparation, flight hardware, mission planning and operations, crew training, and certification processes required within the highly regulated environment of manned space flight. As one of the first commercial entities to hold a Space Act Agreement with NASA for use of the International Space Station (ISS) as a designated U.S. National Laboratory, Astrogenetix is positioned to commercialize products derived from microgravity discoveries and holds relationships with various universities, government agencies, and departments. The company operates predominantly within the Biotechnology, Health Care, and Pharmaceutical industries, aiming to process valuable products in space for commercialization on Earth.
