Atlantic National Trust is a private financial firm based on Portland, Maine’s historic waterfront. Founded in 1995 by Ted West, Atlantic prides itself as an entrepreneurial company that combines expertise in finance and real estate to create mutually beneficial transactions for its business partners. Atlantic has a dual business model that deals in commercial asset-backed loans and commercial real estate acquisition, development, and management. The company's loan servicing arm concentrates on acquiring and restructuring commercial asset-backed debt from the FDIC as well as national and regional banks. Over the past 20 years, Atlantic has acquired over $1 billion in loans and currently has over $100 million under management. The company also specializes in developing creative business strategies that add value to distressed loans.

Ted West, with decades of financial and real estate investment and development experience, founded Atlantic National Trust in 1995. Ted and the first-rate team he has built at Atlantic excel in acquiring assets backed by commercial real estate and at developing creative business strategies to maximize each asset's value. In 2006, Ted West was awarded Downtown Portland Corporation’s Economic Development Achievement Award for his vision and contributions to the redevelopment of the city, including a project that has breathed new life into Portland’s then-dormant Bayside neighborhood and stimulated a wave of economic growth in the area that continues to this day. Ted has also developed major projects in North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, California, and Nevada.
