About Bids Events

Bids Events is an end-to-end event management and attendance platform targeted towards university students. Current Greek life parties around Berkeley are governed by the “bid” system, where each invitee to an upcoming event receives a flexible colored wristband, similar to the ones you get at your local community pool. The existing bid system has loopholes, leading to safety concerns. Bids Events aims to resolve these issues by providing location-based verification through unique QR identification codes for each user. By doing so, they aim to regulate invite-only events effectively, aiming to reduce alcohol-related injuries, assault risks, and probation incidents for fraternities. Founded in 2018, the company operates in the Internet and Mobile industries, with its headquarters in the United States.
