Centerville-Washington Park District (CWPD) was founded in 1959 with the mission to deliver fun, healthy, and outstanding park experiences that connect the community with the outdoors. With over 1,030 acres preserved at 51 parks in Centerville and Washington Township, it is a Township Park District funded primarily through a tax levy on local residents. Governed by a 3-member Board of Park Commissioners appointed by the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, CWPD focuses on providing natural areas, scenic parks, and quality outdoor education, recreation, and fitness programs.
