Centre LifeLink EMS (formerly known as Alpha Community Ambulance Service) is a non-profit organization providing a variety of services to Centre County, PA and surrounding areas. Founded in 1941, the organization offers 24-hour ALS and BLS emergency service for the Borough of State College, College Twp., Harris Twp., Ferguson Twp., Patton Twp., and mutual aid to surrounding areas of Centre and Huntingdon Counties. With an annual call volume of approximately 7,000 calls, the majority being emergencies, Centre LifeLink EMS operates out of three stations and a fleet of seven ambulances and four non-emergency vans, responding to an average of 21 calls per day. The organization is certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS), distinguishing it as one of three ambulance services in the state of Pennsylvania with this accreditation.
