About Chainwheel Drive

Chainwheel Drive opened a small storefront at the corner of Gulf-to-Bay Blvd and Brookside Drive in Clearwater, Florida in 1972. Affectionately dubbed "Chainwheel" by local cycling enthusiasts, we began with a total of 12 bicycles and assorted accessories and parts in an 800 sq ft space. In 1979, the shop moved to Keene and Drew Streets and in 1985 a second shop was added on Highway 19 in Palm Harbor to serve the needs or Northern Pinellas County. Support From day one, Chainwheel Drive has supported the growth of cycling in the greater Tampa Bay area. Our aim, as always, is to give our customers the most enjoyable, safe, and healthy cycling experience possible. Always an advocate for bicycling, we support local bike clubs, state, and national cycling organizations and provide support for rides and races all over the region Commitment Our goal is to offer the best selection of quality products at a fair price with attention to customer service and satisfaction. Our service department has top-notch technicians who pride themselves on expert assembly and repair. Our Certified Bicycle Fitting Technicians help assure properly fitted bikes for the casual as well as competitive cyclist.
