Community Interactions, Inc. (CI), a non-profit organization established in 1971, is dedicated to providing person-centered support services and housing for people with intellectual disabilities, autism & dual diagnosed behavioral challenges in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
History: Founded over 50 years ago, CI was inspired by the founder's brother, Albert, who lived in an institutional setting. The organization's goal was to create less restrictive programs and services that promote community integration and self-determination for individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health challenges.
Mission: To build communities of compassion and inclusion for neurodiverse people through innovative services.
Vision: Embracing the dignity and dimension of every extraordinary person, CI serves over 250 people in community programs, both residential and day, in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Headquartered in the United States, CI continues to uphold its slogan, "Building communities of compassion since 1973," and remains committed to its founding principles of love, kindness, purpose, and independence for individuals with diverse needs.
