Coopérative Capel Bovidoc, founded in 1973, is a multifaceted agricultural cooperative. With over 3,000 active member farmers, the group has a consolidated turnover exceeding €280 million. Its workforce of more than 700 employees operates across 40 sites in Lot, Corrèze, and Tarn-&-Garonne in France.
The cooperative is dedicated to enhancing the produce of its member farmers through its two key divisions: animal production and professional & consumer distribution. The cooperative is structured around three Producer Organizations (palmipeds, cattle, and sheep), forming its Animal Productions segment. Its primary industrial tool, La Quercynoise, adds value to all the production from its member duck producers.
The Distribution & Services segment encompasses agricultural domains (agricultural supplies, cereals, agricultural equipment, animal health, oenology laboratory) and consumer markets (Gamm Vert, Frais d’Ici, and fuel). A significant milestone in Coopérative Capel Bovidoc's journey was the €242.00M Private Equity Round investment by Unigrains on 01 January 2012.
Coopérative Capel Bovidoc, with its strong foothold in the Agriculture and Food and Beverage industries, continues to thrive as it remains a cornerstone within the French agricultural landscape.
