Dubai Cares

Dubai Cares is a renowned organization recognized by the United Nations and formally associated with the UN DGC. Established in 2007 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the organization began with an eight-week charity drive to raise funds for providing quality education to 1 million underprivileged children in developing countries. This initiative witnessed an extraordinary fundraising campaign, with a total of USD 500 million raised through community efforts, matched by an equal donation from His Highness, bringing the total to almost US$1 billion.

Today, Dubai Cares has evolved into a leading global philanthropic organization with a clear mission to break the cycle of poverty by ensuring all children have access to quality education. Their work entails designing and funding impactful, sustainable, and scalable programs. Furthermore, the organization influences national education and health policies, and promotes social cohesion and volunteering.
