About Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange

Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX) was established in 2005 and has since become the region’s leading derivatives exchange, offering global participants the opportunity to trade, clear, and settle transactions within the Gulf region. With over 200 members worldwide, DGCX specializes in electronic commodity and currency derivatives, encompassing futures and options contracts across precious metals, energy, and currency sectors. It is important to note that DGCX is a subsidiary of DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre), a Dubai Government Authority for trade, enterprise, and commodities, further adding to its credibility and influence in the financial industry. The exchange has notably contributed to the development of the regional market for derivatives and financial infrastructure.

In addition to its primary exchange activities, DGCX also owns and operates the region’s largest and only multi-asset clearing house, known as the Dubai Commodities Clearing Corporation (DCCC). Regulated by the Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA), DCCC is recognized as a Third-Country CCP by the European Securities Markets Authority (ESMA), boasting a roster of over 80 clearers from across the globe. This solidifies the exchange's position as a key player in the derivatives and financial market infrastructure, offering a robust and reliable platform for global financial activities.

With its emphasis on diversified services and strong regulatory backing, DGCX is well-poised to continue its significant impact on the financial services and fintech sectors, catering to the needs of international market participants while maintaining its influential position within the Gulf region.
