Dutch Lanka Trailers (DLT), established in 1992, is a logistics and manufacturing company based in Sri Lanka. In 2023, it became a fully owned subsidiary of United Motors Lanka PLC. DLT specializes in exporting trailers globally and holds a significant market share in port trailers in accessible markets, boasting a 35% share. Notably, it also dominates the road trailer market in Sri Lanka with a commanding 60% share and has made considerable inroads in Bangladesh.
DLT's dedicated Design and Development team is pivotal in engineering transport solutions for both port and road trailers, as well as developing new applications. Previously operating from a factory in Kelaniya, near Colombo, DLT later shifted to a larger 11-acre premise in Dankotuwa, near the Colombo port, greatly expanding its capacity. Presently, DLT has the ability to produce 3500 trailers annually.
