EllaLink is an advanced subsea cable system offering secure high-capacity connectivity on a unique low-latency transatlantic route serving the growing needs of the Latin American and European markets. The EllaLink network directly connects Brazil and Europe, linking the major hubs of São Paulo and Fortaleza with Lisbon, Madrid and Marseille.
The EllaLink System is developed with state-of-the-art coherent technology, initially offering 100Tbps of capacity over four fibre pairs. In addition, the landing sites in Praia Grande (Brazil), Fortaleza (Brazil) and Sines (Portugal) have been secured.

Secure – The EllaLink System offers Customers a secure route between Europe and Latin America. The subsea system is buried and armoured to protect it from external damage, with most of the cable in the safer deep water. Its connectivity guards against cyber security threats.
Fast – EllaLink provides direct access between POPs in Europe and Latin America via a shorter, new and unique path. The System has been specifically designed to reduce latency between major Sao Paulo, Lisbon, Madrid and Marseille hubs. Improvements in Round Trip Delay of up to 50% are possible between Madrid and Sao Paulo.
Diverse – EllaLink’s unique route offers geographic diversity from existing transatlantic systems and provides customers with an alternative route between the two continents, both on the submarine section and land. The diverse terrestrial routes to Sao Paulo, Madrid and Marseille ensure high end-to-end system availability.
Open – EllaLink is a privately funded and independent company committed to providing Products and Services on a Carrier Neutral, Open Access and Independent basis.
