Farmers' Services Centre of Karditsa is an agricultural cooperative based in Greece, founded in 2013. The cooperative aims to modernize and develop agricultural activities, addressing various challenges such as energy costs, infrastructure projects, fragmentation of agricultural land, and compliance with EU frameworks. It also focuses on the quality characteristics of local products and achieving economies of scale in the initial stages of the supply chain.
The objective of the cooperative is to provide a platform for synergies within the agri-food sector, emphasizing the region's product quality and achieving economies of scale at the initial stages of the supply chain. Additionally, as the "Farmers' Services Centre," it offers a range of high-quality services to the producers in the region, in collaboration with the support of GAIA Entrepreneurship.
The organization is actively seeking proposals and ideas to enhance existing roles and services, aiming to contribute to the revival of the local rural economy. The New Union envisions to play a key role in local prosperity and believes in becoming a significant factor in the forthcoming changes.
