Geothermal Exchange Organization (GEO) is a non-profit trade association promoting the manufacture, design, and installation of GeoExchange® systems. These systems are considered the most energy-efficient and environmentally friendly heating and cooling technology in the world. GEO's advocacy, public outreach, partnerships, and quality standards focus on supporting the growth of the geothermal heat pump industry. The organization successfully increased tax credits for residential geothermal heat pump installations and has helped geothermal heat pumps become recognized as a renewable energy technology. Founded in 1994, GEO's mission is to support its members' business objectives while promoting sustainable growth within the industry through Advocacy, Partnerships, Public Outreach, and Promotion of Quality Standards.
