Hprobe is a semiconductor startup, slogan Speed up your magnetic test !, founded in March 2017 and based in Grenoble, France. It emerged as a spin-off from SPINTEC, a prominent spintronics research laboratory. Leveraging extensive expertise in magnetic testing, Hprobe is dedicated to offering innovative solutions for the semiconductor industry.
The company's flagship product is a patented multidimensional magnetic field generator technology, tailored for wafer-level characterization and testing of magnetic devices and sensors. The product range encompasses specialized tools for testing and characterizing MRAM devices (STT, SOT, VCMA) and magnetic sensors (TMR, GMR, etc.) at all development stages.
With a notable €2.00M Seed Round investment on 04 February 2020, Hprobe managed to secure backing from prominent investors including BNP Paribas Developpement, ITIC: Industrial Technology Investment Corporation, TEL Venture Capital, HTGF | High-Tech Gruenderfonds. This injection of capital has enabled the company to advance its mission of revolutionizing magnetic testing.
In March 2025, Hprobe was acquired by Mycronic, a publicly traded Swedish high-tech company specializing in precision production equipment for the electronics industry. As part of Mycronic’s Global Technologies division, Hprobe continues to collaborate with leading foundries developing MRAM and companies worldwide advancing next-generation magnetic sensors, bolstered by Mycronic’s global infrastructure.
