Living Proud also excels as a diversity team trainer, helping organizations in attracting and retaining LGBTIQ+ customers and team members, while fostering an inclusive environment. With a legacy of over 20 years and having conducted more than 500 training sessions, Living Proud has been a pivotal force in promoting equality and diversity.
The organization's roots trace back to the 1973 formation of the Campaign Against Moral Persecution (CAMP) which initiated several LGBTIQ+ groups in Perth. Over the years, it underwent several name changes and expansions, ultimately emerging as Living Proud. This rich history and ongoing impact make Living Proud a significant player in advocating for and supporting the LGBTIQ+ community within Western Australia.
