The Materials Research Society (MRS) is an international organization of almost 14,000 materials researchers from academia, industry, and government, established in 1973. It is headquartered in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, United States, and has a membership spanning over 90 countries, with more than 46 percent residing outside the United States. MRS aims to promote the advancement of interdisciplinary materials research and technology to improve the quality of life.
