Mount Valley Development Association

Mount Valley Development Association (MVDA) is a civil society actor founded in 1995, with a core focus on improving the quality of life for rural communities in India. The organization draws inspiration from the Sarvodaya Movement and its approach in the Himalayas. With a strong emphasis on livelihood initiatives, early childcare, and girl child education, MVDA addresses the economic empowerment of the community by organizing women, youth, and children into community-based organizations. Through these associations, MVDA links with various government schemes, advocating for effective governance by empowering women to participate actively in local self-governance. MVDA officially registered under the Society Registration Act 1860, operates with a vision to promote sustainable development and has been serving the local community for twenty-six years.
