About NCCEE

In 1970, the North Carolina Council on Economic Education (NCCEE) was founded with one goal in mind — to enhance and advance economic and financial education for K-12 educators and students of North Carolina. Today, our non-profit organization provides professional training and assistance to approximately 1000 North Carolina teachers a year focusing on economics and personal finance. Through our academic competition programs, we directly reach more than 15,000 students a year and indirectly reach another 100,000+ via better-prepared teachers. With support from private businesses and foundations, as well as through partnerships with state agencies, the NCCEE is a tremendous example of an effective public-private partnership.
