North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services (NEOFACS)

NEOFACS (North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services) is an integrated agency that offers a wide range of services to children, youth, and families in the Districts of Cochrane and Timiskaming. They provide client-responsive programs in Child Welfare, Child and Youth Mental Health, Youth Justice, and Prevention, among others. As a non-profit organization, NEOFACS is primarily funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and the Ministry of the Attorney General, with support from various other funders.

The agency operates under the French Language Services Act, offering services in both official languages. Their spectrum of children’s mental health services includes intervention, public education/prevention, and supportive services. NEOFACS also runs a live-in treatment facility for children and youth aged 12-15, in addition to providing Child Welfare services such as assessment, investigation, placement, and supportive services for children and their families.

NEOFACS is highly visible in northeastern Ontario, with its head office in Timmins and primary district campuses in Kapuskasing and Kirkland Lake. The organization is known for its dedicated professionals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children, youth, and families.
