Nuji (Acquired by Klarna)

Nuji, an e-commerce platform in the fashion and lifestyle industry, was acquired by Klarna in April 2020. Founded in 2010 by Anton Meryl Nithianandan, Dean Fankhauser, and Vincent Thome, Nuji aimed to revolutionize the shopping experience. The platform offered advanced search and recommendation technologies, easy filtering, and curated content, aggregating over 5,000,000 items from 10,000 designers. The company reached profitability and achieved $19m in annual gross sale.

The startup received a $2.00M Seed Round investment on 24 March 2014 from prominent investors including Seedcamp, Samos, and Endemic Capital. Nuji's success attracted investors who also supported companies such as Zoopla, Revolut, and Farfetch.
