The International Photodynamic Association (IPA) is a global community founded in 1986 to advance photodynamic therapy (PDT), photoimmunotherapy (PIT), and photodiagnosis (PD) in the health care and manufacturing industries. With members and associates from over 30 countries, the IPA brings together prominent international scientists, clinical and translational researchers, healthcare professionals, and students. The organization's mission is to promote the study of diagnosis and treatment using light-activated photosensitizers and disseminate scientific information to its members and the research community.
The IPA's flagship event, the Biennial World Congress, provides a unique platform for members and non-members to share and learn about global developments and research in photodynamic therapy and photodiagnosis.
