In 2009, the Pork Barrel BBQ professional competition barbecue team was formed and has achieved numerous honors at barbecue contests across the country. In 2011 & 2014, the team was named Grand Champions of the Safeway National Capital Barbecue Battle in Washington, DC and the Perdue National Chicken Champions. They have also had the honor to cook at prestigious contests such as Memphis in May, the American Royal, The Jack Daniel's World Championships, and the Sam's Club National Finals.
