Powahome

Powahome is a Rome based startup, founded in 2017 by LVenture Group and accelerated from Luiss EnLabs. The company has earned recognition, winning the "Klimahouse Startup Award"​ in January 2018 and the "Wind Startup Award"​ in April 2017. Additionally, it was selected by Google Android Factory Program in January 2017.

Powahome specializes in bringing home automation to Italian households, with a focus on energy-saving solutions. The company offers a device that can be installed in existing electrical boxes, adding "smart" capabilities to switches and sockets. It allows remote control of lights and sockets, along with the programming of motorized blinds and dimming systems. Notably, it retains memory and clock settings even after a blackout. Remote monitoring and programming are facilitated through a customizable app. The device, which works with various types of bulbs and integrates with Wi-Fi networks, does not replace old switches, but adds remote control functionality via smartphone or tablet. It is also capable of integrating a vocal control system into existing house wiring.

The company's last investment was a Seed Round investment on 24 September 2018, with TechItalia:Lab as the investor. Powahome's innovative approach to home automation and energy efficiency positions it as an intriguing prospect within the rapidly evolving smart home industry.
