QUERCUS TFI S.A. is the first public investment fund company in Poland with offerings targeted at affluent and very affluent investors. Founded in August 2007 by a team of experienced investment professionals, led by Sebastian Buczek, the company received approval from the Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego (KNF) to commence operations in February 2008. Quercus TFI S.A. made significant strides in its history, including the signing of the first distribution agreements with leading banks, insurance companies, brokerage firms, and financial advisors in April 2008. The company's capital was raised to 14 million PLN through a private issuance of 10 million series C shares at 0.80 PLN in June 2008. In September 2008, Quercus TFI S.A. became the first publicly traded company in the industry, with its shares listed on the NewConnect market at an initial price of 0.68 PLN. In addition, in 2011, the company debuted its shares on the main market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) at a debut price of 3.30 PLN. Notable milestones also include the launch of various sub-funds and the unveiling of significant financial investors in the company's shareholding above 5%.

This expansion involved the introduction of asset management and investment advisory services in 2009, as well as the initiation of various funds like QUERCUS Absolute Return FIZ, QUERCUS Gold, QUERCUS Stabilny, QUERCUS Global Growth, QUERCUS Multistrategy FIZ, and others, with updated strategies and the launch of new sub-funds in 2018.
