SCERS

SCERS, or Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System, is a multiple-employer public employee retirement system operating in accordance with the County Employees Retirement Law of 1937. Since 1941, SCERS has been offering retirement, disability, and survivors’ benefits to eligible participants. The SCERS Board of Retirement is entrusted with plenary authority and fiduciary responsibility for the investment of monies and the administration of the System.

Currently, SCERS serves the County of Sacramento-Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento, and nine Special Districts. The total membership boasts 12,500 active, 13,051 retired, and 4,054 deferred members.
