Sopraval, founded in 1967 in the 5th Region, is currently a subsidiary of Agrosuper and exclusively dedicated to the production and commercialization of turkeys. By introducing turkey breeding to Chile in 1982, the company has become the country's leading producer with a 70% domestic market share and the second-largest producer in Latin America.
Chile boasts the highest per capita consumption of turkey meat in Latin America at 4.5 kilos.
