Syracuse Stage is a non-profit, professional theatre company founded in 1974, and is currently in residence at Syracuse University. Nationally recognized for its stimulating theatrical work, the company engages audiences in Central New York and significantly contributes to the artistic life of the university. Its mission is to tell engaging, entertaining, and inspiring stories that go beyond personal experiences. Each season, 70,000 patrons enjoy a mix of new plays, bold interpretations of classics, and musicals. In addition to its productions, Syracuse Stage runs an educational outreach program serving more than 15,000 students annually from 14 counties. The company is also a member of prestigious theater organizations including the Theatre Communications Group, the Arts and Cultural Leadership Alliance, and The League of Resident Theatres.
