TEDxChania is an independently run event powered by amazing volunteers, with the slogan #IdeasWorthSpreading= TEDxChania. Since its establishment in 2015, TEDxChania has been an inspirational powerhouse operating under a free license granted by TED. This organization has harnessed a community that dares to dream, question, and push the boundaries of comfort. It serves as a vibrant hub of innovation, passionately sculpting a future bursting with optimism. TEDxChania encourages individuals to connect with their diverse tribe, amplify their ideas, and join in crafting a symphony of impactful change.
TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas through short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). Originating in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment, and Design converged, TED today covers a wide range of topics in more than 100 languages, from science to business to global issues. Furthermore, independently run TEDx events, including TEDxChania, help to share ideas in various communities around the world.
The TEDx program was designed to enable local groups to monitor and share an experience. These events are independently organized under the strict criteria of TED, with the authorization of hosting a local TEDx event granted free from TED.
