The Women's Bar Association and Foundation of Massachusetts are sister organizations dedicated to improving the lives of women in the Commonwealth. The Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts (WBA) serves as a platform for women lawyers in Massachusetts to build personal and professional relationships. Their vision is to create a strong community of women lawyers making a difference in the legal profession and society at large. The WBA aims for the full and equal participation of women in all aspects of society and believes in the importance of a supportive community to the administration of justice, as well as providing resources and networking opportunities for women attorneys.
The Women's Bar Foundation is focused on ensuring access to justice for low-income women by building a community committed to providing free legal assistance. They recruit volunteer lawyers and provide intensive training and mentorship to ensure the delivery of quality legal assistance.
Founded in 1978 and headquartered in the United States, the latest investment for the Women's Bar Association and Foundation was a grant received on 21 June 2023 from the Metrowest Women’s Fund.
