About WRC

Welcome to WRC, formally known as the Wireless Research Center of North Carolina. Since its founding in 2010, WRC has grown from an independent, nonprofit, research and engineering technology center to a multidisciplinary group dedicated to transforming communities through a combination of social and technical (sociotechnical) solutions that drive economic development, innovate technology and create digital equity. In today’s digital era, we are passionate about creating an equity of opportunity for all. Our core initiatives and offerings are designed to improve wireless and emerging data technologies, accelerate tech startups, support entrepreneurs, and drive economic development through education programs, research & development labs, digital job skills training, events and a startup accelerator. We are a collective of three core initiatives: • RIoT - accelerating new technology entrepreneurs • Connected Communities - digital workforce development & digital equity • WRC Technologies - state-of-the-art research and engineering Learn more at wrc-us.org
