Founded by Kevin Johnson (Managing Partner, former Mayor of Sacramento and NBA All-Star), Black Capital is a early stage fund focused on investing in Black and underrepresented founders - aiming to promote economic empowerment for the black community by providing access to the venture capital ecosystem. Currently, less than 2% of capital is invested into black founders, who have historically been overlooked by traditional VCs. Black Capital aims to take advantage of this untapped market and leverage the firms vast network to source and support promising high-growth companies.
