DeFiance Capital is a crypto investment firm with a strong Asia footprint founded by Arthur Cheong(Arthur0x), who has been in crypto investing full time for 7 years. Arthur is a leader in the global crypto community (>160K Twitter followers), and one of the earliest investor in DeFi and Web 3 Gaming space, giving him access to proprietary information flow. DeFiance’s first fund (2020 vintage) is currently at ~4x MOIC, and reached a peak AUM of $500m during 2021. DeFiance made early venture investments into unicorns like dYdX (25x), Axie Infinity(250x), LayerZero (60x), and Arbitrum(52x). They’ve also made successful liquid investments like Aave (288x), Sushi (28x), and Synthetix (143x). DeFiance currently invests out of its liquid venture vehicle, which focuses on liquid tokens with venture-scale upside.
