RISE is a 501(c)(3) organization that enables businesses to develop, demonstrate and scale innovations that help coastal communities adapt to changing climate. Our mission is to catalyze innovation and growth around creative solutions in the areas of sea-level rise, recurrent flooding, and economic resilience. RISE engages and connects thought leaders, conducts challenges, and invests in the most promising solutions. RISE ACHIEVES THIS BY: - Surfacing resilience challenges faced by organizations operating in coastal environments - Brokering access to the Hampton Roads region’s living laboratory to innovators with products or processes to test - Accelerating the growth of businesses offering innovative solutions to coastal resilience challenges Providing access to funding and other support to help companies develop resilience technologies
