About 2-B Energy

2-B Energy, a Dutch startup founded in 2007, focuses on revolutionizing the offshore wind power plant concept. They aim to introduce and commercialize a global offshore wind power plant concept with a significantly lower Cost of Energy produced. The company's slogan, "Experts on wind turbines on floaters," resonates with its dedication to innovation in the renewable energy sector. Their first demonstration turbine, installed in Eemshaven (NL) in Q4 2015, attests to their commitment to tangible progress. The company's approach to team integration and design processes sets them apart, fostering a unique environment where tradition is challenged, and realization is a virtue. This approach aligns with their last investment, a Series B funding round on 01 March 2014, led by Shell Ventures. This key investment underlines the confidence of a prominent player in the energy industry and signifies potential for further growth and impact in the market. 2-B Energy's design philosophy aims to balance basic design choices with high-level principles of improvement. The integration of power plant components and a focus on life cycle Cost of Energy reduction and risk demonstrate their dedication to transformative innovation. As 2-B Energy forges ahead with its pioneering approach, it presents an appealing opportunity for Venture Capitalists seeking to invest in sustainable and progressive energy solutions.
