About CityJet

CityJet is a truly European airline headquartered in Dublin, with staff located across Belgium, The Netherlands, France, The United Kingdom, and Ireland. Established in 1992 by entrepreneur Pat Byrne, CityJet is Europe’s leading regional airline, operating a fleet of Bombardier aircraft on wet lease and charter services across Europe. The company pioneered services between Dublin and London City Airport in January 1994 under a franchise agreement with Virgin Atlantic Airways. In 1996, CityJet formed a partnership with Air France, which eventually transferred into Air France ownership in 2000. Following the acquisition, much of CityJet's services were then operated under the Air France brand. In 2015, the airline was purchased by a business consortium led by its original founder, Pat Byrne, and has since embarked on a major programme of strategic development. CityJet rebranded with a refined livery, reflecting its newly-independent spirit and dedication to passenger service and quality. CityJet now focuses its activity on wet lease and charter services, operating a modern fleet of Bombardier CRJ900 passenger aircraft on behalf of SAS Scandinavian Airlines from its crew base in Copenhagen, as well as on charter services. The company is constantly advancing and growing, with a dedicated focus on passenger service and quality. With its strong presence in the hospitality, travel, and tourism industries, CityJet offers promising investment opportunities for venture capitalists seeking to tap into the European aviation market.
