Clean Grid Alliance works with a diverse membership, comprising clean energy advocacy organizations, businesses, wind, solar, and storage developers, manufacturers, non-profit environmental, public interest and clean energy advocacy organizations, farmer organizations, and other businesses that support renewable energy.
The organization concentrates on policy and technical aspects of connecting wind, solar, storage, and hybrid projects to the transmission grid and delivering renewable energy to the market. This includes transmission planning, grid policy, and the establishment of equitable rules governing the use of the electric grid. At the same time, the company is involved in educating key decision-makers and the general public about the benefits of renewables.
Clean Grid Alliance's work has expanded beyond wind energy to include solar, storage, and emerging technologies. Their activities include creating opportunities for renewables in the energy marketplace, driving grid policy and transmission planning, and conducting broad education and outreach activities in the Midwest.
As the leading clean energy advocacy group in the Midwest, Clean Grid Alliance is positioned as the regional affiliate of the American Clean Power Association.
