CrowdFarming, founded in 2017 and based in Spain, is transforming the agricultural landscape by making regenerative organic agriculture viable for farmers and accessible for consumers. The company focuses on eliminating intermediaries between the 10 million European farmers and 450 million consumers, thus aiming to improve farmer conditions and reduce food waste and dependency on chemical pesticides.
By pushing for direct sales, CrowdFarming enables farmers to command better prices, allowing for healthier farming practices and eventually offering more nutritious food to consumers. This approach addresses issues within the EU's agriculture subsidy model, where nearly a quarter of the budget allocated does not adequately improve farmers' conditions.
The startup recently secured a €15.00M debt financing investment from the European Investment Bank as of 01 September 2023. This backing highlights confidence in CrowdFarming's model to revolutionize Europe's food supply chain.
