Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering (DARE) is an innovative student rocketry organization based at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Founded in 2001, the organization has grown to around 180 members. It specializes in designing, building, and launching technologically advanced rockets, while concurrently empowering students through hands-on experience that augments their academic pursuits.
Notably, DARE has an impressive track record of over 150 rocket flights. They have developed a range of rocket engines varying from 100 N to over 10,000 N thrust. Landmark achievements include breaking the European altitude records with the launches of the Stratos and Stratos II+ rockets, reaching altitudes of 12.5 km and 21.5 km, respectively.
Also contributing to educational outreach, DARE supplies the rockets for the annual Dutch CanSat competition, enriching the learning experience for high school students. This blend of cutting-edge rocketry accomplishments and educational influence positions DARE as a significant contributor to the aerospace domain, meriting potential interest from investors aiming to support pioneering educational ventures in technology and engineering.
