Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Kenya, the company has developed radical, ultra-low-cost, one-size-fits-all eyeglasses, offering customized eyewear even in the most remote areas. Their proprietary vision test eliminates the need for traditional eye care infrastructure, bypassing the requirement for eye doctors and prescription laboratories, thus reducing two-way logistics challenges.

Moreover, when the existing eye care infrastructure is sufficient, DOT Glasses provides its solution to significantly decrease the cost of prescription eyeglasses, making good vision affordable for everyone. The company recently secured a €1.08M Pre Seed Round investment on 03 April 2020, with funding from Tilia Impact Ventures and N1.
