Durham, United Kingdom
Handcrafted, founded in 2012, is a creative community based in the United Kingdom with a slogan "a Hope + a Future". The company focuses on working alongside socially excluded individuals, aiming to empower them to take control of their own lives. Operating across the North East with hubs in Durham, Chester-le-Street, and Gateshead, Handcrafted targets the most disadvantaged members of society, challenging the notion of writing off individuals and believing in the inherent value of everyone.
The company's efforts involve running training programs, providing housing, establishing enterprises, organizing wilderness adventures, and supplying individually tailored support in each hub. Notably, their last investment was a Debt Financing received on 01 January 2023, and it was secured from Social and Sustainable Capital.
Handcrafted's approach to combining social impact with sustainable business practices makes it an intriguing prospect for venture capital firms looking to invest in socially conscious enterprises. With a demonstrated commitment to empowering marginalized individuals and creating tangible societal change, Handcrafted presents a compelling potential opportunity for impact-driven investors.
