Humanity X is an organization established in 2014 with the mission of developing technology with a social impact. The team originated from the first annual Hacks4Humanity, an event aligned with Humanity 101, organized by Project Humanities (ASU) and Equality TV, focusing on the seven principles of Humanity. Comprising three ASU students and two community members, the group is dedicated to creating technology for social good. Following the Hackathon, the team successfully developed a functioning prototype of "ARKHumanity," a system designed to detect specific tweets from Twitter using keywords associated with individuals in crisis.
Humanity X operates within the Information Technology sector and received a Non-Equity Assistance investment on 23 August 2016. The investors involved in this round were the Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative and ASU Venture Devils.
The company's slogan, "Innovative technology crafted for the greater good, born from a blend of creativity and compassion," encapsulates its ethos and commitment to leveraging technology as a force for positive societal change.
