ICARBON KİMYA ARGE VE MÜHENDİSLİK, established in 2020 with support from TÜBİTAK BİGG 1512, is at the forefront of sustainable recycling technologies in the rubber and plastic industries.
The company leverages its patented hydrothermal devulcanization and innovative carbonization technologies to recycle waste rubber sustainably. This pioneering approach not only caters to rubber recycling but also extends to the depolymerization of polyurethane, silicone, and polyolefin plastics and the recovery of composite materials.
Championing "Green Chemistry and Production" principles, ICARBON is the first globally to produce multiple types of "recovered carbon black," enhancing its products' utility in various rubber and plastic compound productions. As the need for correctly recycled products is set to increase under the EU Green Deal, ICARBON's know-how positions it well for future growth.
Notably, ICARBON was awarded first place in the “Rubber and Plastic” category at the 10th Chemical R&D Project Fair by the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association (İKMİB).
