İKSV is a non-profit civil society organization founded in 1973 by Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı and 17 businesspeople and art enthusiasts in Istanbul. The organization's primary goal is to organize international art festivals in Istanbul and promote cultural heritage conservation, artistic production, and the development of cultural policies. The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) aims to introduce global cultural and artistic achievements to the Turkish public while showcasing Turkey's own cultural assets to the world.
Recognizing the value of cultural exchange, the foundation aspires to position Istanbul as a leading global center for arts and culture. Its overall objectives include fostering continuous interaction between national and universal, traditional and contemporary values through cultural events. In addition to organizing festivals and events both domestically and internationally, İKSV is actively involved in preserving traditional arts, supporting artistic production in various disciplines, and contributing to the development of cultural policies.
Although specific details about the organization's headquarters and recent investments are not available, İKSV's dedication to promoting cultural exchange and preservation makes it a valuable player in the cultural and arts industry.
