Lanterna Education, founded in 2004 in Sweden, is a key player in the EdTech and Education industries. The company's slogan, "Your IB teacher workforce. Live, online, in classrooms worldwide.," accurately encapsulates its mission of providing qualified International Baccalaureate (IB) teachers and personalized tutoring to students globally.
Lanterna resolves a critical challenge faced by IB Schools: acquiring and maintaining skilled IB educators, particularly for less common subjects or unexpected vacancies. By partnering with over 250 IB World Schools, Lanterna supplies highly experienced, Cat 2+ trained teachers who seamlessly integrate into existing school schedules, ensuring curriculum alignment.
Additionally, Lanterna's network of over 600 expert tutors aids students at more than 80 countries through personalized tutoring and comprehensive exam prep. Despite its 20-year history, Lanterna hasn't disclosed any recent investments, indicating potential opportunities for investors interested in scalable education solutions.
