OW Ocean Winds is an international company focused on offshore wind energy, established as a 50-50 joint venture by EDP Renewables and ENGIE. Formed in 2020 through the consolidation of offshore wind assets and project pipelines of EDP and ENGIE, OW began with 1.5 GW under construction and 4.0 GW under development. Subsequently, OW has been rapidly expanding its portfolio and aims to achieve a target of 5 to 7 GW of projects in operation or construction, along with 5 to 10 GW under advanced development by 2025. By 2024, OW's offshore wind gross capacity is projected to surpass 18 GW, including assets in operation, contracted, or with grid connection rights granted.
