Serial Eyes (DFFB) is Europe’s premier postgraduate training programme for serial writers with the slogan “SERIAL EYES, Europe’s premier postgraduate training programme for serial writers.”
The program, founded in 2013 in Germany, aims to prepare the next generation of European TV writers and emerging showrunners to bring first-class serialized storytelling to TV screens across the continent and beyond. Over a 9-month period, 12 participants engage intensively with the specific working methods for the development and production of innovative fictional series formats.
What makes SERIAL EYES unique is its close collaboration with a wide range of European broadcasters and producers. The program is devised in conjunction with these industry experts to respond to industry needs. It is also supported by the Creative Europe – MEDIA Programme of the EU, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, and industry partners including Audible, Constantin Television, Sky Germany, The Disney Company Germany, Atlantique Productions, Mediawan Studio, Dynamic Television, and Realfilm.
